A poem to my heart
—dedicated to Tiffany
I can't mend the past with a waving wand
And I'm not a knight in shiny armour,
But I can embrace you and seal your wound;
Hold you tight and be your stormless harbour.
I am not strong, nor am I wise enough
To take away your pain and agony;
But I will stand by you when life is tough
And I'll protect you, like your sanctuary.
When I am not around; when I'm not near,
I will wish upon the constellations
To let me carry for you your dark fears;
To exchange your tears with scintillation.
My love for you is more enduring than stone;
So please believe me that you aren't alone.
