Isle of Sheep

On the Isle of Sheep
It is now more pressing than ever
That they award the Skin of the Wolf
To the Best of Them All.

Not for the long teeth and claws
That hang sleepily from the ears,
But for its symbolic reminder
That a long, long time ago,

The Best of Them All then
Was able to lead the flock—
Was still capable of killing
And skinning the Big Bad Wolf (somehow).
