—dedicated to Choco

Sand is fraction—made up 
Of shells and stone;

It is strength notwithstanding—
Subdued—reborn;

Humble and humbling,
The sand here is heavy linen;

Impossible to hope for a softer, 
Kinder thing—the remainder becomes 
The numerator.
