During lunch break

Elephantine, they are
Drinkers by the machine,

Flexing their trunks making
Small talks and coffee: 

The child of so-and-so did OK, but
Not great in the exams; 

So-and-so should really exercise 
Moderation and caution

And not fill up her plates 
At lunch (they saw her doing so)!

So I crouch at a distance 
In the corner, and wait

In silence
For a sip.
