Poem-picking

I am picking a poem for a friend, who reads a lot,
but never poetry—
It has to be something concrete,
Reliable; not abstract; not a jab in the dark

And hoping that it'll stick—a powerful, simple piece
That is both direct and succinct—to the point,
But folds
Onto itself again and again—completes

Through a wormhole
Its self-admissible journey.
