It rains like glass
It rains like glass
Tonight. Great is the number that strikes over the
Wet lamps. They glow through the water-shine
This way and astray;
They glow through everything, everything that breaks. Easily,
On the limber asphalt cries a fracture:
Discord is the light that meets; divisive the palpable mind
Of the taste, the touch, and the tenderness
That gnaws—
The tapering of the limbs that crave
And dig through the sea of emptiness:
A rough conch howls forever hollow
Towards the world,
Despite all that's inside;
Despite being absolutely full.
