The pyramid rose over 
stony bed. White shells toiled 

amidst alabaster froth. 
Base upon base, 

rock upon rock. The great emergence 
over sandy lot. 

A gasp—a cry—
an exclamation, "Emeraldcrest!"

The billow came and 
claimed the plot.
